Route 1: You can reach Sittong by four wheel drive from Siliguri to Kalijhora via Sevoke. Then driving a distance of 14 kilometers through Mahananda wildlife sanctuary you will reach Latpanchor. Sittong is 15 kilometers drive from Latpanchor.
Route 2: From Siliguri to Mongpoo Bazaar is approximately 55 kilometers drive. Then drive from Mongpoo bazaar to Labda. From Labda it is half an hour journey to Sittong crossing Riyang River. This route is not so good from Mongpoo and exploring this route during monsoon is not advisable as you have to cross Riyang River to reach Sittong in this route.
Route 3: A 55 kilometers drive from Siliguri to Kurseong via Hill cart road. Then a 75 kilometers drive from Kurseong to Ghareytar via Dilram and Bagora. Next half an hour drive will take you to Sittong.
New Jalpaiguri station is the nearest railway station in rail route. New Jalpaiguri station is at a distance of 73 kilometers from Sittong.
You can start the tour from Bagdogra Airport.which is 83 kilometers away from Sittong.the airport is well connected to many other parts of the country.
The best time to visit Sittong is during winters. As a result, the months of November, December and January, the best time to see oranges as the villages are filled with oranges and it turns into orange color. For nature and bird lovers best time to visit Sittong is after monsoon or rainy season as it is covered with greeneries and numerous species of birds can be viewed.
