Tukdah Homestay : Refined by Nature

Tukdah Homestay is basically a small village located at a distance of about 28km from Darjeeling. Very little is known about this small hamlet. The place is like a treasure secret because it's yet to develop as a fully fledged tourism place. Located at quite a distance from the main town, Tukdah is far enough to be isolated, quiet and serene. The village was a military cantonment during the days of the British. Many senior British officers frequently visited this place during the time. There were many bungalows and houses for their accommodations. When India gained independence the British left the place, and the houses and many other establishments they built were left behind. These houses now belong to some locals.

Some of the others have been taken over by establishments like schools. The locals who have beed custody of the house have renovated it and made it a guesthouse.
